Small, fragrant leaves can be used dried or fresh in many dishes, most commonly in Italian. Definitely a favourite on pizza!
How To Grow
Best grown in full sun, and well draining soil, and it can grow up to 60 cm tall. Oregano is easy to grow in poor conditions and locations. It can potentially be grown as a perennial in zones 5 and higher; add mulch to the base to help protect the roots over the winter. Pinch off flowers to promote continuous leaf growth and a better flavour.
