2.5" Orchid Cactus
Large drooping leaves make this a great choice for hanging baskets, as they can get quite heavy and may tip a dry pot over when the soil becomes dryer and lighter between waterings. A wider, shallow pot may also help balance. Depending on the time of year and the amount of root growth, this cactus can produce bright blooms in the spring and early summer. To encourage blooming, in the late stages of winter, gradually expose the plant to cooler temperatures of around 5-10 degrees celsius for about 3 weeks.
How To Care For
Requires at least 4 or more hours of direct sunlight in order to flourish. Place in a sunny window (south facing) especially in the winter months, for best results. Plant in a well draining soil medium. Water evenly, and wait for the soil to dry out between waterings.
