Can grow up to 20 cm (8 inches) tall
The species aristata is derived from the Latin aristatus meaning 'bristly or awned" and refers to the lacy edges of the leaves.
Produces tubular orange-red flowers up to 4 cm (1.6 inches) long
How to Care for
Grows best in well-drained soil, drainage is essential to prevent root rot. Water when the soil is dry to the touch. This succulent can withstand very dry conditions but only for short periods of time. Slow growing means it will rarely need to be repotted.
Indoors it prefers plenty of bright, indirect light, optimal is south or southwest facing window. Outdoors during the summer months provide light shade
